80 years todayTown Talk | July 14, 2016 Steve âLouieâ Boyd turns 80 today. From Hudson, Ohio, to life in the late 1950s as a ski patroller in Aspen Highlands and then Vail in the early 1960s, he pioneered his own way of life. Mischievous and full of heart, he is a man who brings color and character to our town and our lives. For those of us who came to know the wilderness through him, we are forever grateful that he let it stand for itself, so we could discover it in our own way. Many donât know this, but his love of classical music, jazz and literature is as deep and full of wisdom as his knowledge of stony peaks, high lakes and wild mushrooms. The best dads in the world can observe their wrong turns and work to repair them, and heâs done this with true commitment, always working every day to become a better man physically, mentally and emotionally. We love you and we know how lucky we are to have you in our lives each and every day.
