Bowl for a local cause

The Junior Achievement Bowl-A-Thon is a fun, meaningful way to help provide life-changing financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship programs to local K-12 students. It takes place Oct. 1 at Bol in Vail Village. The company shift is from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. and the individual shift is from 7:45 to 9:45 p.m. Proceeds from the event provide funding for 25 percent of Junior Achievement programs, which this year will support 3,000 local students. The programs taught by volunteers from the business community cover the basic concepts of business and economics and emphasize the relevance of education.
