Boxing for health

Power Punch Parkinson’s is Colorado’s first non-contact boxing class for people with Parkinson's disease. Recent physical therapy research has shown boxing to be effective in improving balance, mobility and quality of life. The program is sponsored by the Parkinson Association of the Rockies. Come check out the newest location — the Vail Valley! Classes will begin on March 12 and will run every Saturday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Church, 90 Lariat Loop, Edwards. Hand wraps and boxing gloves are provided. Participants need a waiver from their doctor to participate and classes are $5 per session and are billed every two months.
