Eagle County Cleanup day
May 4, 2017
It's time to clean the closets, garages, basements and the yard and to lend a hand in picking up trash around town, all done in beautifying our town. On Saturday, from 8 a.m. to noon, bring all of your unwanted trash and recyclables to the Eagle Community Cleanup Day and deposit them in the appropriate dumpster behind the Capitol Theatre in Eagle Ranch Village. In prior years, Vail Honeywagon reported that they alone collected 220 tires, filled two 40-yard dumpsters of trash, a 15-yard dumpster of household hazard waste (paint and chemicals) and a 15-yard dumpster with electronic equipment (cell phones, computers, televisions and more). In addition, the Habitat ReStore accepts furniture, yard equipment, construction items (windows and doors) and Vail Valley Cares takes clothing, appliances, furniture, garden items, home accessories, etc. The Eagle Ranch Association and the town of Eagle in cooperation with the Eagle Chamber of Commerce sponsor Eagle Community Cleanup Day. The Vail Honeywagon, The Dusty Boot, Vail Valley Cares Thrifty Shops and Habitat ReStore generously support the cleanup.
Join in the community spirit and create a team to clean parks, trails, walkways and sides of roads; it's a great venue to educate the young on the value of community involvement and keeping our town clean. To volunteer, call 970-306-2262 or email email@example.com. Volunteer check-in and supply pick up will be held at The Dusty Boot from 8 to 9 a.m. on Saturday; check-in and enjoy coffee and doughnuts provided by The Dusty Boot.
