Colorado Mountain College in Edwards will host an all-day event to celebrate the 45th annual Earth Day on Wednesday. Recycle old electronics and shred paper documents in the parking lot from 8 a.m. to noon. There will be live music with Sloppy Mountain String Band from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.; an open house featuring food, drinks, community tables and eco-activities from noon to 3:30 p.m.; a student research showcase from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.; speakers from the Eagle River Watershed Council discussing America’s Wild and Scenic Rivers Act at 6 p.m.; and a screening of the film “Watershed: Exploring a New Water Ethic for the New West” starting at 7:30 p.m. Join us for a full day of fun celebrating sustainability and Earth Day!
