Fill the Van Food Drive

On Friday, the schools of Eagle Valley amazingly collected 8,293 pounds of nonperishable food for the annual Fill The Van food drive! The food was transported by Debbie Comerford of Colorado Mountain Express to The Eagle Valley Community Food Pantry and Salvation Army at the United Methodist Church in Eagle. Sherriff Mike McWilliam brought inmates to help unload and stock, Lt. Terry Simkins and Deputy Lisa Vasquez directed and coordinated the event. Local police officers and firemen as well as Jonathan Baer and wife Nicole Trevino, Anne Rusinko, Anne Kerrigan and Louise Carter also helped unload and stock. Thank you, everyone! Great job!
