Home canning classes offered

Colorado State University Extension will introduce the pleasures of preserving and the science of home canning at a "Canning at Altitude" class on Saturday, Oct. 29 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Golden Eagle Senior Center, located in Eagle. Attendees will learn research-based recommendations for preserving apple pie filling, pickled cauliflower and carrot cake jam in the Ball Automatic Jam & Jelly Maker. The cost for the class is $25.
