More than 35 Vail Valley Medical Center employees participated in the Eagle County emergency preparedness exercise on Saturday, Oct. 1. The drill, called Metcalf Mayhem, simulated a hazardous material spill response. Vail Valley Medical Center staff set up a decontamination station in the hospitalâs parking lot and practiced their emergency response skills with other Eagle County first responders and community volunteers. The hospital would like to thank everyone who participated. Exercises such as these help make Eagle County a safer place for all.
