Reading buddies program

Reading Buddies is a partnership between The Literacy Project and the Eagle Valley Library District where teens are matched with a Little Buddy in grades first, second or third. Buddy pairs read together, play reading-based games, and participate in group activities to help foster a love of reading. The purpose of Reading Buddies is to provide a leadership, responsibility, and community service opportunities, with high school mentors helping to foster a love of reading in elementary school students. The next session at the Avon Public Library is Sept. 28 and each Wednesday for eight weeks from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. through Nov. 16. Please call Sloan for more information at 970-949-5026.
