Susie Kincade, Alisa Galehr and Tara Austin Novak, business women and mothers in Eagle, are gathering needed donations for the protesters at Standing Rock who are now camping out in the harsh North Dakota winter for their cause. The Eagle women are looking for donations of winter outdoor clothing, heavy wall tents, blankets, and construction supplies, tools and clothing which Kincade will transport to Standing Rock with a supply convoy on Nov. 21. In a joint statement the women said, âWeâre at a turning point in human history. Itâs time to take a stand for our common, sustainable resources like water. We need to do this for future generations.â The community is invited to join in a gathering and ceremony on Sunday from noon to 2 p.m. at 2000 Eby Creek Road in Eagle, where attendees will learn about this issue, share your voice, make signs, drop off your donations and take part in a ceremony for water and its protectors at Standing Rock. For a list of supplies needed and for more information, please visit Oceti Sakowin Camp . org. All donations must be received by Saturday and can be dropped off at 2000 Eby Creek Road in Eagle. Please, only the items on the list are needed. To donate, call Susie Kincade, at 970-328-5472; Alisa Galehr, at 970-306-3911; or contact Tara Novak, at email@example.com.
