Supporting Performing arts locally

Through its Community Outreach Committee, the Vilar Guild was able to grant partial financial scholarships to 27 Eagle County students for the 2015-16 academic year. These students are involved in Studio 8100, Vail Performing Arts Academy, Vail Valley Academy of Dance, school theater, voice and instrument private lessons. These wonderful applicants are passionate about the difference the arts provide in their daily life, confidence and happiness.

The VPAC Guild provides a critical link between the Vilar Performing Arts Center and our community. The mission of the VPAC Guild is to reach out to the entire Vail Valley and build awareness, accessibility and an audience for the Vilar Performing Arts Center. We fulfill that mission through community outreach, fundraising, events and performance underwriting.

Through our outreach efforts, the VPAC Guild has provided tickets to local students, educators and senior citizens, as well as books and tickets to children through partnerships with The Literacy Project, The Magic Bus and the Buddies Program. Guild members are active in creating special events to cultivate understanding and interest in the arts, as well as raising funds to support and increase outreach and underwriting. For more information about becoming a member of the Vilar Performing Arts Center Guild, please contact Doreen Somers at or 970-376-0299. Membership is $100 per year and supports the many efforts within the mission.
