Jamaican Kenyata Thomas spent his summer mostly working in the Vail Valley, but he also spent some time volunteering for the Minturn Rummage Sale as part of a Center for Cultural Interchange Greenheart Students Work and Travel program. He helped set up the rummage sale rooms, was on hand during the sale and helped pack up after the sale. Thomas had never been to Vail before, but he enjoyed his time learning American culture. “It’s been a good experience,” he said. Thomas heads back to Jamaica on Friday to finish studying medicine at school, but he’s hoping to see a little snow before he goes. Thank you for volunteering.
