The 27th annual Vail International Pro-Am was held this Sept. 8 through the 10th at The Cordillera Valley Course, Sonnenalp Golf Club and Country Club of the Rockies. The event, featuring 28 of the top golf clubs in the U.S., was won by Colonial Country Club from Ft. Worth, Texas. Their team consisted of golf professional Matt Marino and members Doug Higgins, Mike Mewhinney and Mitch Perry. Low professional honors went to Scott Chipokas from Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The main focus of the VIPA is to raise funds for three local charities, The First Tee, Can Do MS and The Youth Foundation through a silent auction that is held throughout the event. This year $22,500 was raised and donated to the three charities. Thanks to all of our sponsors, charities and participants who made the 28th VIPA a huge success!
