Eagle County will host its community Torch Run on May 17 starting at 7 a.m. and finishing around 2 p.m. The Eagle County Torch Run begins at the Eagle Valley High School in Gypsum and will go east along U.S. Highway 6. There will be transition stations where athletes will transition in along the way through Gypsum, Eagle, Wolcott, Edwards, Avon, Eagle-Vail, Dowd Junction and Vail ending with a celebratory picnic, sponsored by the Four Seasons, in Vail. This year, we would like to ask the community to become involved and run with us. Community participants can sign up to run, walk or ride their bike from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. from Freedom Park to Nottingham Park or at noon from Lionshead through the Vail Village.
