Did you know that the town of Vail has a work by internationally renowned artists Claes Oldenburg and Coosje van Bruggen in its public art collection? Join Art in Public Places for a free walking tour of the public art in Lionshead. Meet on Thursday, Aug. 7, at 10 a.m. in the Vail Public Library¹s community room. The two-hour tour begins at the opening reception of the Community Collective Exhibition. After viewing the exhibition and the library¹s public art, the tour continues to the Lionshead Welcome Center, multiple outdoor sculptures and Vail¹s newest playground, Sunbird Park. After the tour, enjoy even more art at the Rembrandt Art for Hearts exhibition in the Grand View located on the top level of the Lionshead Welcome Center.
