What it means to you: Anyone caught driving without a seat belt on any county road can be stopped and ticketed by an Eagle County Sheriff’s deputy. The new rule doesn’t apply to towns or state highways, where the state law still applies. That law states a motorist can’t be pulled over just for a seat belt violation.



What’s next: Buckling up

What they talked about: The county budget for next year adds up to about $102 million, and will add about 15 new full-time employees.

What’s next: More tinkering ” Commissioner Arn Menconi has said he wants more spending dedicated to “early childhood services” ” then a hearing for final approval in mid-December.
