Winter weather updates: Edwards access road reopens, hazardous driving and avalanche conditions
Here are the latest traffic and avalanche updates on a snowy day in Eagle County.
2:13 p.m. — The Edwards access road is now open for normal traffic access.
1:24 p.m. — The Edwards access road is closed for all south-bound traffic coming out of Singletree or the Shaw Cancer Center area. The best access for the Singletree area from Miller Ranch Road to Winslow Road. The westbound and eastbound ramp for Interstate 70 are still open for use.
1:18 p.m. — The westbound off-ramp at exit 163 in Edwards is closed.
11: 24 a.m. — Vail Pass is now open. Please drive carefully.

9:03 a.m. — A winter storm and blowing snow has closed eastbound Interstate 70 over Vail Pass.
8:57 a.m. — Emergecy crews are working to clear a road incident at mile marker 180 in East Vail.
The Colorado Department of Transportation is urging drivers to use caution as high winds throughout the I-70 corridor continue to create low visibility conditions. These images from CDOT capture just how treacherous the driving conditions were on I-70 on Monday morning.
Eagle County also currently has considerable avalanche danger near and above the treeline, and moderate danger below, according to the Colorado Avalanche Information Center.
