Cogswell Gallery in Vail Village is hosting a trunk show in honor of Konstantino Sioulas, both a jeweler and an artist.

Konstantino Sioulas, a master adornment, was born and educated in Athens, Greece. He has been designing modern expressions of ancient Greek artifacts for over 20 years. The artist’s work, known as Konstantino Treasures, is on display at Cogswell Gallery in Vail Village through Jan. 7.

Konstantino has an insatiable fascination with ancient Greek history and, of course, ancient Greek jewelry. His passion fuels his dramatic collection. Meticulous attention to detail is found in the Byzantine etchings on the back of each adornment. Each piece in the collection is individually crafted in Greece, artistically combining 18-karat gold with sterling silver, gemstones, precious stones and ancient coins.

The painstaking Old World craftsmanship infuses the creations with a timelessness that dictates their being passed down from generation to generation. The influence of the ancient civilization is reflected in the workmanship, the weigh and the detail seen in each Konstantino Treasures design.

The unusual combination of etching, hammering and stone selection distinguishes his jewelry designs, rendering them unmistakably Konstantino pieces.
