Trees of Lights shines in Edwards
EDWARDS Mountain Hospice’s 15th annual Tree of Lights ceremony Dec. 5 in Edwards gave locals an opportunity to support the hospice organization and recognize loved ones.
Supporters braved frigid temperatures – with the help of hot chocolate provided by volunteers and the carols sung by the Mountain Harmony Singers. As attendees arrived, volunteers handed out candles that burned while 500 names were read by three volunteers. The names belonged to lost loved ones, new lives and family members. In addition to the tree on the Edwards plaza, there is another tree in the lobby of FirstBank in Avon. Each name is printed on a gold ball, courtesy of Vail Mountain School students.
