Trees to be removed in Avon Mall

AVON, Colorado – Avon’s Public Works department will remove damaged and diseased trees which pose a hazard along the Avon Mall next week.–

On Oct. 14 and 15, Bush Creek Landscaping will remove the trees from between Bob’s Restaurant patio and the old bus turn-around on the east end of the mall. Signs will be placed the day of to direct pedestrian and bicyclists to Lettuce Shed Lane. The mall path will be closed until the end of the day on Friday.–

The removal of dead, damaged and diseased trees is needed to protect public safety. Already this summer, several trees have been removed in Avon because they were either diseased or had been damaged enough to require removal.-
