Trees to be removed in the Avon Mall

AVON, Colorado – Avon’s Public Works department will remove damaged and diseased cottonwood trees that pose a hazard along the Avon Mallthis week.–

Depending on the weather, from today through Friday, Avon Public Works crews will remove diseased trees between Bob’s Restaurant patio and the old bus turn-around on the east end of the mall. Signs will direct pedestrian and bicyclists along Lettuce Shed Lane south to Avon Station. The public is asked to avoid this area due to the large equipment and the hazards of the tree removal. The mall path will be closed from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The tree removal should be concluded by Friday afternoon.
