Trip to California resort will be sweepstakes prize

VAIL – The Fitz Lounge in Vail kicks off summer with a “Climate Adjustment Sweepstakes” beginning Tuesday.
The grand prize is a four-day, three-night vacation at Terranea Resort in Ranch Palos Verdes, Calif. Round -rip airfare for two will be provided by Flyvail.com from Eagle County airport to Los Angeles. The grand prize can be redeemed from Dec. 15, 2011 to April 2, 2012.
Each time guests visit the Fitz Lounge this summer, they may enter the sweepstakes. The winner’s name will be drawn Sept. 5 at The Fitz Lounge.
Additional prizes will be awarded on the last Wednesday of each month, and include accommodations at the Gant in Aspen, Stone Bridge Inn in Snowmass, and Hotel Telluride. Monthly consolation prizes from sponsors of the sweepstakes include Lord Gore certificates, Bravo! Vail Valley Music Festival tickets, Vail International Dance tickets, Finlandia Vodka gifts, Herradura Tequila items and more to be announced later in June.
Tuesday is also the return of the Fitz’s third annual Taco Tuesdays, featuring three beef or chicken tacos for $6 and margarita specials from Herradura Tequila. The Fitz summer schedule includes Manic Mondays with $5 Finlandia martinis and mussels; beer pairing dinners; Bravo! events; and Vail International Dance Festival specials.
The new summer menu includes culinary creations like tuna lollipops, Kobe beef sliders, duck breast with green chili mac and cheese and more. Live rock-blues entertainment will be provided by Scotty Kabel. Kabel will perform on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 5 to 7:30 p.m.
The Fitz Lounge is located along the Vail recreation path to Ford Amphitheater. Guests of the restaurant and bar receive complimentary event parking.
