VAIL ” Rocking turntables worldwide and representing San Francisco, J-Boogie blends his eclectic beats on the radio, at the club and in the studio. As a producer for Om Records, Ubiquity and Future Primitive Sounds, J-Boogie mixes downtempo, hip-hop, soul, funk, Latin, disco, dub, dancehall, afrobeat, electro and house into a musical gumbo. He’ll be spinning Friday night at Samana Lounge in Vail at 9:30 with DJ Blick. There’s a $5 cover for the show.
VAIL DAILY: How and when did you get your start in the industry?
J-BOOGIE: I started doing college radio in 1991.
VD: Why should people come see your show?
JB: They will experience a fusion of fun sounds and get their groove on to new music you won’t hear anywhere else.
VD: How do you differ from the other DJs out there?

VD: What has been your major impact on electronic music and/or how do you plan on impacting the future of electronic music?
JB: I take the DJ approach to producing music and the producer’s approach to DJing music. I have a new album, “Soul Vibrations,” coming out on Om Records on Sept. 23.
