Tuesday is last day to get Vail rec mail-in absentee ballot

VAIL – Tuesday is the last day to request a mail-in absentee ballot for the May 4 Vail Recreation District board of directors election.

Voters will seat three directors to serve a four-year terms. Four candidates, John Donovan and incumbents Joe Hanlon, Rick Sackbauer and Ken Wilson, are running for the three board of director seats.

Requests for a mail-in (absentee) ballot can be made by going to http://www.vailrec.com, downloading the application form for an absentee ballot and faxing the completed form to 970-479-2197. Applications can also be hand delivered from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday at the rec district’s administration offices, 700 S. Frontage Rd. East.

Applications to obtain an absentee ballot will be accepted in person at the rec district’s administration offices until 4 p.m. on Friday. To request a mail-in or absentee ballot, you must include your printed name, signature, residence address, mailing address if ballot is to be mailed and date of birth.

May 4, 2010 election is a polling place election with the poll open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Town of Vail Municipal Building, 75 S. Frontage Rd.
