BEAVER CREEK, Colorado ” Want to know more about local weather and why we get more snow some ski seasons?

Marty Coniglio, 9News Meteorologist, is coming to the Beaver Creek Children’s Museum to answer those questions. He will be at the Children’s Museum Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. Marty will discuss air pressure, cloud formations, variations in seasonal weather and some of the historic weather events in Colorado’s past.

“We are excited to offer this opportunity for local kids to learn about weather, especially since it has a big impact on our daily lives,” museum director Brian Hall said.

Coniglio’s visit to the Beaver Creek Children’s Museum is part of a series of special science based presentations over the summer. On Aug. 14 at 2 p.m., local fossil expert Rick Rolater of By Nature Gallery in Beaver Creek will be bringing some fossils by the museum.

“At the Beaver Creek Children’s Museum, we love to have kids learn while having fun, and we’ve been able to bring in some awesome guest presenters, like the Marty, Rick, Denver Zoo and the Denver Butterfly Pavillion,” Hall said.
