TV station: Officer suspected of Denver airport breach

DENVER, Colorado – A Denver television station is reporting that a top-level police officer is being investigated for allegedly bypassing security at Denver International Airport.

KCNC-TV reported Wednesday that the Transportation Security Administration is investigating Denver Police Division Chief David Fisher Jr. The station cites anonymous sources who say that at issue is whether Fisher illegally used a special electronic access card to bypass security screeners to board a plane.

Denver police Lt. Matt Murray told KCNC that the TSA is involved and that police also are investigating. He would not provide details.

The TSA said it investigates all allegations of security rule violations but can’t comment on ongoing investigations.
