Tweet! Tweet! Vail Town Council’s on Twitter
Vail, CO Colorado
VAIL, Colorado –Starting today, the town of Vail will be using Twitter, the free social messaging site, to provide real-time updates during Vail Town Council meetings. The information is available at http://www.twitter.com/vailgov.
The live updates will be posted by the town’s community information office and will be available on the first and third Tuesdays of the month during town council work sessions and evening meetings. For added efficiency, followers are advised to customize their settings to receive tweets from the town on their mobile phones.—
-As interest grows, the town’s presence on Twitter will be expanded to include additional information, including parking updates and reminders on events and activities.
-The town’s use of Twitter follows an earlier communications outreach in which the town has been providing expanded town council meeting agendas on its web site to include staff memos, maps and other supporting documents. The information is available by visiting http://www.vailgov.com and clicking on the “council agenda” link in the “useful link” box located in the lower right corner.-
-For details on these and other outreach efforts, contact Suzanne Silverthorn in the community information office at 970-479-2115.
