Two new brokers join Berkshire Hathaway
VAIL — Lee May and Karen Harkins have joined Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices as broker associates. May is in the firm’s Lionshead office, where she has formed a real estate team with Joni White Taylor. Harkins has joined the company’s Gypsum office. The announcement was made by Michael Slevin, president of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Colorado Properties.
After 17 years of Vail vacations, May made the move from Naples, Florida, and now calls Vail her permanent home. She brings with her 29 years of professional sales and marketing experience as both an entrepreneur and real estate broker in New York and Florida. Most recently, May was with Prudential Florida Realty and Premier Properties in Naples.

Harkins grew up on the Western Slope and has called the Vail Valley home for more than 12 years. She brings with her more than 20 years of professional sales experience, priding herself on hard work, honesty, integrity and going the extra mile for her clients. Harkins will join the Slaughter Group as its newest team member in BHHS Colorado Properties’ Gypsum office.

The operating license for Kent Funeral Home in Gypsum has been summarily suspended by the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies following an investigation that revealed disturbing conditions at an associated funeral home in Leadville.
