U. of Colorado to decide whether to challenge gun ban ruling
BOULDER, Colorado – The University of Colorado must decide whether it wants to fight to keep a gun ban on campus.
University regents are scheduled to take up the issue at a meeting Friday.
The state appeals court ruled that CU’s ban on concealed weapons violated state law. Regents can either go ahead and allow concealed weapons on campus or appeal the ruling to the state Supreme Court to keep its ban.
CU’s student government reversed its previous stance and voted to endorse the gun ban on Thursday night following criticism from students.
