Utah ski instructor dies after crashing into pole

PARK CITY, Utah — A Utah ski instructor has died after crashing into a pole.
Park City police said 42-year-old Rafal “Rafi” Uzieblo was in the Deer Valley Resort skiing with his wife, family and friends around 2:30 p.m. Sunday when he crashed into a lift tower pole.
He was pronounced dead near the Sterling Express Chairlift on the Bird’s Eye ski run of Bald Mountain.
Uzieblo was not wearing protective gear and had worked at the resort for seven years.
Sunday was the last day of the resort’s ski season.
