Utah ski resorts report good numbers over holiday
SALT LAKE CITY ” Several Utah ski resorts reported solid traffic during the Presidents Day weekend ” one of the most important of the season ” and at least one said it set new records.
Powder Mountain spokeswoman Carolyn Daniels says the Ogden-area resort set records on Sunday and Monday.
Meanwhile, Solitude marketing director Jay Burke says the resort in Big Cottonwood Canyon had lodging occupancy levels just shy of 100 percent at its village.
Burke said while there weren’t record numbers of skiers on the slopes, the resort was pleased with turnout.
Snowbird and Alta also didn’t set records Sunday or Monday, but officials said numbers were similar to last year.
