BEAVER CREEK – The Vail Academy held its largest every fund-raiser, called “A Tribute to Peace,” on July 5. The night included a concert by country singer Collin Raye, dinner and an auction. More than $100,000 was raised for the Eagle-Vail school in events that took place at the Park Hyatt and the Vilar Center in Beaver Creek. The money will help support the school’s physical education and fine arts programs.

The evening began with a dinner and auction at the Park Hyatt. Guests, in Western dress, bid on a one-week trip to the Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo, a handmade queen-size log bed and home makeovers, among other items. Guests later moved to the Vilar Center to hear singer Collin Raye, known for the songs. “Love, Me,” “That’s My Story,” “One Boy, One Girl,” “Little Red Rodeo,” and “Little Rock.”Premiere Global Services, Majack Development, The Byrnes Family Foundation, The Iverson Family, Tile Warehouse, Inc., Orvis Shorefox, Title Company of the Rockies, The Peterson Family, the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek, the Vilar Center for the Arts, Colorado Business Bank, Vail West Architecture and Stevens Home Care sponsored the fund-raiser and concert.
