Vail agendas expanded on Web
Vail, CO Colorado
VAIL, Colorado ” Vail Town Council meeting agendas posted to the town’s Web site now include staff memos, maps and other supporting documents as part of the town’s efforts to manage documents electronically.
The information is available by visiting http://www.vailgov.com and clicking on the Council Agenda link in the Useful Link box located in the lower right corner. The new software allows staff members from each department to post agenda items to an automated file. This eliminates numerous steps that were used previously in assembling the agenda.
The expanded agendas will be posted to the web no later than the Friday before the following week’s council meetings. The meetings, an afternoon session and an evening session, are held the first and third Tuesdays of the month. –
In addition to the electronic postings, copies of the agenda materials will be available in a printed format. Future phases could include paperless distribution.
“Anyone who’s interested in an agenda item will be able to fully access the material prior to the meeting,” says Pam Brandmeyer, assistant town manager.
