Daily Staff Report
Vail, Co, Colorado

Lone Star Security, a Vail Valley security company since 1999, wants to spruce up its image, and wants the public’s help.

Lone Star is holding a contest for a new logo, slogan and other marketing materials. The winner gets $500.

Here’s what the company is looking for:

– The new image/logo should project experience, strength and stability, while remaining conservative in tone and design.

– The logo has to contain words “Lone Star Security.”

Participate in The Longevity Project

The Longevity Project is an annual campaign to help educate readers about what it takes to live a long, fulfilling life in our valley. This year Kevin shares his story of hope and celebration of life with his presentation Cracked, Not Broken as we explore the critical and relevant topic of mental health.

– No more than three colors in the logo, which should also look good in black and white. The logo also needs to be readable in a number of different sizes.

Send your ideas, drafted by hand or computer, to, or fax to 970-524-5687 no later than April 26. All entries must include your contact information. The winning proposal will be announced in the Vail Daily.
