Vail asks residents about recycling
VAIL, Colorado ” Households and businesses in Vail, Colorado can share their views about the town’s garbage collection and recycling program in an online survey.
The 37-question survey is sponsored by the town’s Environmental Sustainability Office and can be found at http://www.vailgov.com by clicking on the “recycling survey” in the news section of the home page.
The town is exploring a program in which residents would be charged by how much garbage they produce.
The survey also will ask about commercial or curbside compost and how the town improve its recycling practices. One of the town’s goals is to reduce waste by 10 percent within five years and 25 percent within 10 years.
-Responses to the web survey will be collected through the month of March. Participants will be eligible to be entered into a drawing for one of three MP3 players. The drawing will be held during the first week of April.
