Vail, Beaver Creek to open more terrain Wednesday
VAIL – Recent snowstorms and ideal snowmaking conditions are allowing Vail Mountain and Beaver Creek Resort to open additional terrain on Wednesday.
Beginning at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Vail Mountain will open Gondola One for access out of Vail Village, as well as Lower Villages Catwalk for return access, and terrain accessible via the Avanti Express (No. 2). Vail will also begin offering dining options at Mid-Vail. Skiers and snowboarders will have access to the following lifts and 331 acres of skiable terrain in these areas on Vail Mountain:
• Gondola One
• Eagle Bahn Gondola
• Avanti Express (No. 2)
• Born Free Express (No. 8)
• Little Eagle (No. 15)
At Beaver Creek, Cinch Express Lift (No. 8) will open during the day Wednesday with access to limited intermediate terrain. Beaver Creek will operate the following lifts with access to 88 acres of intermediate and beginner terrain:
• Centennial Express Lift (No. 6)
• Buckaroo Express Gondola (No. 1)
• Cinch Express Lift (No. 8)
With more snow in the forecast and cold temperatures allowing for productive snowmaking, additional terrain is expected to open during the course of the week at both Vail and Beaver Creek.
