Vail candidate forum is Thursday

Daily staff report

VAIL — The Vail Chamber & Business Association is sponsoring a Town Council Candidate Forum from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 17 at Donovan Pavilion. The event is presented by the Vail Board of Realtors. The forum will provide an opportunity for each of the seven candidates to introduce themselves and field questions from panelists and the audience.

At least two new council members will be elected Nov. 5, since current member Kevin Foley is leaving due to town term limit requirements, and fellow member Kerry Donovan has decided not to seek re-election.

Two incumbents — Susie Tjossem and Greg Moffet — are running for re-election. The other candidates are: Dale Bugby, Sounia Nejad Chaney, Dave “Bone” Chapin, Jenn Bruno and Meighen Lovelace.

For details about the forum, call the Vail Chamber & Business Association, 970-477-0075 or email Replays of the candidate forum may be viewed on Public Access TV 5 and on the web.
