Vail Cascade hosts creekside Grillin’ & Chillin’
VAIL Once each month during July, August and September, Vail Cascade Resort & Spa invites local residents and resort guests to take part in Grillin’ & Chillin’, the property’s own unique cooking session. Beginning Monday, July 30, Vail Cascade Executive Chef.Richard Beichner will divulge tricks of the trade for grilling the perfect summer entrees. The Cascade’s Grillin’ & Chillin’ program highlights grill technique and etiquette, while providing students with a sampling of perfectly prepared steak, seafood and wild game, as well as a cool beverage with which to “chill,” and an indispensable cookbook for at-home culinary creations. The three-class session begins on July 30 with grilling steaks and continues August 13 with grilling shellfish and seafood, commencing on September 3 with grilling wild game. Class is in session from 5:30 – 7 p.m. and cost for each lesson is $30. In addition to the grilling lesson, a beverage of choice (domestic beer or glass of wine), food sampling and the cookbook, each attendee also receives a gift certificate good for one free appetizer with the purchase of an entrée or bottle of wine at Vail Cascade’s Chap’s Grill and Chophouse – the authority on grilled fare, and Colorado’s only AAA Four-Diamond Chophouse. Following the final class on September 3, Vail Cascade staff will award one lucky winner with a gift certificate for dinner for two at Chap’s.This unique program takes place in an equally unique setting: on the Creekside Deck at Vail Cascade, which is perfectly situated along the banks of Gore Creek.
