Alpine Bank Avon branch has new manager
Alpine Banks recently announced that Marci Colby has been promoted from vice president and manager of the Edwards branch to vice president and manager of the Avon branch. Colby succeeds Mike Brown, who recently accepted the role of regional president for the Vail Valley and Steamboat Springs region.
“Marci has proven her leadership skills at our locations in Eagle and in Edwards,” Brown said. “She was the logical choice to assume the role in Avon.”
Colby began her career with Alpine Bank in 2003 and gained experience in different aspects of the bank from customer service to lending to management. She has been trusted to manage the Edwards location for more than seven years.

Local wedding firm earns two awards
JoAnn Moore, owner of Mountains and Meadows Weddings and Events, a Vail Valley-based wedding and event planning company, recently announced the firm’s selection as a winner in The Knot “Best of Weddings,” a special section featured on http://www.TheKnot.com/BOW, a wedding-planning website. This is the third year Mountains and Meadows Weddings and Events has earned the award, and it is the only wedding business in the Vail Valley to have received the honor.
This year’s wedding professionals have been selected as the top 1 percent of the industry.
WeddingWire, another of the nation’s leading wedding technology companies, has also honored Mountains and Meadows Wedding and Events with its Bride’s Choice Awards for wedding planning. This is the firm’s fifth straight year receiving the award.
