Vail Cascade’s Aria Spa lands at No. 2 in readers’ poll
Vail, CO Colorado
VAIL, Colorado – This year, 46,476 Conde Nast Traveler readers cast their votes to recognize 270 hotel spas in North America, the Caribbean, Hawaii and at sea. Aria Spa, located in the AAA Four Diamond Vail Cascade Resort, moved up 22 spots ranking second on the “Top 100 U.S. Resort Spas” list. This accolade is the perfect complement to Vail Cascade Resort’s year-end awards streak, which included ranking 18 on Conde Nast Traveler’s “Top 40 Resorts in the West” and 26 on its “Top 50 Ski Hotels” list.
“This achievement is the result of the collective and talented effort our therapists and staff put forth to make each guest visit to our spa truly special,” said April Bingham, spa director at Aria Spa. “We are grateful to the many guests that have shared a part of their day with us and we hope to continue serving them well for years to come.”
This year’s Reader’s Choice Poll marked the pinnacle of 22 years of research. According to Conde Nast Traveler, readers who participated in this poll had a total of 46,352 visits to hotel, resort, and cruise ship spas.
Conde Nast Traveler’s 2013 Spa Poll results were derived from the 2012 Readers’ Choice survey. Tabulation of the survey’s 46,476 responses was done by Global Market Insite, Inc., of Marlborough, Mass. Spas were rated excellent, very good, good, fair, or poor on three criteria: Spa Facilities, Spa Staff, and Spa Treatments. Those criterion scores, representing the percentage of respondents who rated a spa excellent or very good, were averaged to determine the overall rating for the spa. A minimum number of responses were required for inclusion in these rankings.
Aria Spa earned an overall rating of 98.3 with a 100 for Spa Treatments, a 98.3 for Spa Staff, and a 96.6 for Spa Facilities. In total, only one other spa in Vail ranked in this prestigious reader’s list.
