Vail Chamber & Business Association launches annual membership drive
The Vail Chamber & Business Association is gearing up for our annual membership drive. For the convenience of our membership, last year we changed the annual membership from September through August to March through February. So our new membership year begins March 1.If you are not already a member of the Vail Chamber we highly encourage you to consider joining. The Vail Chamber & Business Association is the leading advocacy group for businesses that are located in, and do business in the town of Vail. The Vail Chamber has strong relationships with the business community and works closely with Vail Resorts and the town of Vail to support local businesses. Our motto is “Collaboration, Cooperation and Communication.” A prime example of this is the Premier Impressions program, which is taking place right now. Premier Impressions recognizes employees in the town of Vail who provide extraordinary customer service. An employee is nominated by a guest or customer for going beyond the regular call of duty. As a thank-you for providing outstanding service monthly winners receive a $50 gift card or certificate to a local business. The employee is also invited to an end-of-season party and is eligible for additional prizes including a trip, cash and other goods. This year the Premier Impressions program has already received more than 35 nominees in the first few weeks. The program continues until March 31. As a member of the Vail Chamber you are entitled to a free business listing on our Web site and a listing in the Vail Guide that has more than 100,000 copies distributed annually, as well as discounted advertising in the Vail Guide. Other marketing opportunities include free and discounted local advertising with local TV, newspaper and radio partners. Other benefits include the Vail Resorts Merchant Pass, discounts on credit card and payroll processing via Heartland, and membership networking opportunities. The Vail Chamber also produces events throughout the year. Over the holidays, we partnered with the town of Vail and more than 30 local restaurants to host Savor the Season, which showcased a variety of holiday specials. The chamber also collaborated with the town of Vail and worked with an assortment of local business and non-profits to host Holiday Gift Wrapping. This free gift wrapping service was available to all with a proof of purchase of a gift bought in Vail. Santa’s Workshop enabled everyone to be a child at heart and do arts and crafts, hear traditional holiday stories and spend some time with Santa. This spring the chamber will host the South of the Border Fiesta June 12 in Lionshead and the 5th Annual BBQ Bonanza June 26 in Vail Village. These events help usher in and kick-off the summer season.A great opportunity to hear all that is going on at the Vail Chamber & Business Association is at our annual meeting, which is open to members and non-members alike, It will be held Feb. 16 from 8 to 10 a.m. in the Lord Gore Restaurant at the Manor Vail Lodge.
