Vail Chamber sends thanks to its volunteers
For some people right now, moments of spare time are few and far between. Others might have a little too much time on their hands. One thing is for sure, though – local nonprofit groups in the Vail, Colorado, area are grateful for the folks who take time out of their day to volunteer. The past two weekends, the Vail Chamber & Business Association hosted two events in Vail. With a staff of just three, the chamber would not have been able to produce these events on our own. The success of these events is directly related to the efforts provided by the volunteers who supported us. I personally would like to thank everyone who volunteered for us over the past two weekends. There are many other organizations that could use your help, and I encourage you to reach out to them. As a member of the Vail Rotary Club, a great organization that works to serve those in need locally and internationally, has the motto “service above self.” I feel this is a motto to live by. Whether its for the town of Vail and its greeter program, the Bravo! Vail Valley Music Festival or the Betty Ford Alpine Gardens, a few minutes of your time can make a difference in the lives of people who visit the attractions Vail has to offer. It is a great way to meet new people and also open doors to new opportunities. There are many ways you can help by using your existing talents and skills. If you think you might be interested in helping some of these organizations, but are unsure as to what might be available, the Vail chamber can help you answer those questions. As you enjoy this July 4th holiday weekend, celebrating and remembering why we have the freedoms we do, remember to thank those around you that make it all happen, by volunteering! The Vail Chamber & Business Association is the leading business advocacy group for businesses in Vail. The chamber is a communications outlet for businesses that need to have a voice. We also organize three events in the summer that take place in the three main sections of Vail.
