Vail Christian alumni seeking help so they can help others
Vail, CO, Colorado
Several Vail Christian High School alumni will be traveling to Kicuna, Uganda, this May for a mission trip.
There, we will be reunited with our beloved teachers from our high school, Bob and Linda Isbell, who are living as missionaries and directors of ChristAid Academy.
The academy is aimed at helping the Ahadi kids (those orphaned by the AIDS epidemic) receive personal attention so that they can excel and maximize their potential and develop their relationship with Christ.
There are various projects that ChristAid Inc. is undertaking in the poverty-stricken village of Kicuna aside from the academy.
Construction on a soccer stadium has begun in an effort to reduce crime throughout the region and bring further opportunities to the kids.
Support Local Journalism
A water project is also under way, and following continued support, clean water will be available to many Kicuna families.
During our trip, we will spend our time working and playing with the kids at the academy, helping build the “Gold Medal” soccer stadium, serving at a local AIDS clinic and completing a project of our own in building a playground that will serve as a safe haven for the kids of Kicuna.
The cost of the trip is $3,000 per person, and the only way that we can make it happen is through kind donations from our community.
We know times are tough right now for many, but where we are going, tough times are all that many of them know.
If you feel like donating to our endeavor, any amount would be greatly appreciated and is tax-deductible.
If you so choose, please send your donation to Vail Christian High School with “Alumni Mission Trip” on the memo line.
The school’s address is: Vail Christian High School; 31621 U.S. Highway 6; Edwards, CO 81632.
Thank you so much!
We are so blessed to live in a community where we can write a letter like this to our local newspaper asking for financial support and your continued prayers.
