As Vail Christian High School prepares to break ground on its new riverside campus, nearly 100 students arrived for the first day of class, Aug. 16.

Vail Christian High is located on a temporary campus consisting of modular classrooms at the Gracious Savior Lutheran site at the base of Lake Creek Road in Edwards. The school is part of the Alliance of Christian Schools, consisting of St. Clare of Assisi School and Eagle Valley Christian Academy.Supporters have raised more than half of the funds needed for a new site, which will be located across from St. Clare, just one mile west of the existing building and high school gymnasium.

“Naming opportunities provide donors a way to show their support of Christian education in the valley,” says Eileen Jacobs, a parent.

The high school received full accreditation from the North Central Association after three years and touts itself as a “Christ-centered school, in partnership with the home.” For more information on programs at Vail Christian High School, or to find out more about the new site, contact 926-3015.
