Vail cleanup day will be June 11
Vail, CO Colorado
VAIL, Colorado “The town of Vail’s cleanup day has been rescheduled for June 11.
Local businesses and business groups, including the Vail Chamber and Business Association, Lionshead Merchant Association and the Blue Moose, helped organize the event after it was canceled because of snow last month.
Starting at 12:30 p.m., rain or shine, registration will take place on the top deck of the Lionshead parking structure. Volunteers will be shuttled to various areas within the town to pick up trash and other debris remaining from the winter.
At 4 p.m., volunteers will be treated to free pizza and beverages donated by the Blue Moose.
The first 150 volunteers to register the day of the event can designate a $25 donation to the qualifying nonprofit of their choice. In addition, all volunteers will receive a free grocery bag made from recycled plastic bottles. Participants are encouraged to wear sturdy shoes, bring work gloves and use sunscreen. Trash bags will be provided.
Local residents, businesses and nonprofits are encouraged to pre-register for the event by e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Let the town know many volunteers you will be bringing and what nonprofit you would like to support.
