Vail creates summer of ‘All the Love’
The Vail Local Marketing District Advisory Council and the town of Vail recently announced that the Vail All the Love program will be extended as the main promotional campaign for this summer. Program directors say there are many reasons to participate: It is not a message of Vail being on sale. It uses the awareness of the program created this winter on the Front Range. It offers participation to all Vail businesses at no charge.Program organizers sayVail All the Loves winter results included: 130,000 visits to vailallthelove.com. More than 1,500 room nights were booked because of the program. The town of Vails sales tax collections were down 6.46 percent in December compared to competing resorts dropping between 9 and 19 percent. A recent Mountain Travel Research Project lodging report for 12 western mountain resorts indicates Vail is experiencing a lesser decline in occupancy from last year to this year. The summer Vail All the Love promotion will launch the week of May 18 with a marketing and public relations budget of more than $700,000. The target audience is primarily the Front Range, but part of the budget will aim advertising at destination guests.Organizers will hold a Vail All the Love Kick-off meeting May 13 at 8 a.m. at the Vail Cascade Resort & Spa.To get your offer on the first summer All the Love Web materials, e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org by April 25.
