Vail Valley Partnership takes a leadership role to create and manage collaborative programs that encourage economic development and result in increased destination tourism in Eagle County. That’s what we do. But that’s now who we are.

Last week in this space, we talked about the benefits of connecting with your local chamber or merchant group. This week, I’d like the business community to know who is responsible for carrying out all the work that we do here at Vail Valley Partnership. The staff of Vail Valley Partnership is a group of people who make our programs and benefits a reality and who drive our tourism efforts to bring groups and meetings to the area. They are the folks who help market your business through our communication channels and who help connect your business to local, regional and state resources. They are the ones who make the proverbial magic happen for our members.

While you’re busy running your business, Jennifer Weintraub is organizing networking events, educational programs and making introductions to help you get more exposure for your business. Jen plans after-hours events, leads groups, breakfast scramblers, the annual Success Awards and more. She also spends time bringing in new members to the Partnership. While you’re busy running your business, Jeremy Rietmann is coordinating and managing the various programs at the Partnership. His efforts are instrumental in our economic development efforts, working with municipal and other stakeholder groups to help retain and attract businesses to the area. While you’re busy running your business, our group sales team consisting of Tina Schwab, Sandra Perrig-Holst, Kim Brussow, John Carter and Heather Kerstiens are prospecting, working with group meeting planners and attending tradeshows to bring over 100 different groups and meetings per year to the valley, including corporate meetings, incentive programs, large associations, weddings and sporting events. While you’re busy running your business, Kathryn Bevin is sending out our e-newsletters, updating our social media channels and blog site, overseeing our local marketing efforts and updating our website to keep you informed about Partnership events and local business news. She is talking about our community and local businesses on social media and keeping Vail Valley Partnership members in the forefront of people’s minds. She also coordinates the various publications produced by the Partnership including Visit Vail Valley, the Official Visitors Guide and the Vail Valley Volunteer Guide. While you are busy running your business, Jill Lammers works to ensure that the customer experience is considered by all our staff, in all major decisions, at all times. She provides support to our membership team and the entire organization. She is additionally responsible for managing our Ambassador Program, driving visitors to, working with our lodging partners and overseeing our various destination-marketing efforts. While you are busy running your business, Kathy Lichetenheld and Heather Davis are running our Lodging Quality Assurance program. This program is designed to ensure guest expectations are met and provides a standardized rating of platinum, gold, silver and bronze for rental units throughout the valley. Vail Valley Partnership has created the Lodging Quality Assurance Vendor Certification program to educate members on product tier levels and the Lodging Quality Assurance Program through certification and connecting to property management partners. While you’re busy running your business, Haley McNeil is greeting visitors at the Partnership office and our tourism information center, answering calls and directing questions to the proper resources within our community.
