Vail Daily letter: A great season
Mayor of Vail
Vail, CO Colorado
On behalf of the town of Vail, congratulations to Vail Resorts, the town staff, the business community and everyone involved in contributing to one of the best ski seasons ever. Together, we created an experience on the mountain and in the villages that is second to none.
For the first time ever, our bus drivers received perfect guest-satisfaction scores on two separate occasions, and adjustments to our parking policies were well received by guests and locals alike.
In addition, the opening of Solaris created new energy to the village core with movies, bowling and ice skating, while the Arrabelle and the Ritz-Carlton Residences served as an anchor for vitality in Lionshead. The new Four Seasons Resort has exemplified our guest-service focus, and of course, the mountain conditions were extraordinary all season long with ample powder and groomed runs for everyone’s enjoyment.
After just returning from an international symposium, I’ve concluded the synergy we’ve created from these public-private partnerships has become the envy of the world and helps drive our competitive advantage. Let’s keep this momentum going and continue working together as a community to keep Vail strong and viable as we head to our 50th anniversary in 2012.
