Vail Daily letter: A hit in Minturn
Vail, CO, Colorado
The Minturn Community Fund would like to extend a big thank you to all of the actresses and actors that came out to audition and perform for the Missoula Children’s Theatre production of “The Princess and the Pea” on Aug. 7 at Little Beach Park Amphitheater in Minturn.
Thirty-four children came out to audition and were cast in “The Princess and the Pea.” They auditioned and rehearsed for a week straight to memorize their lines and learn the show’s score. Two outdoor performances were held Aug. 7 to a packed audience and under beautiful skies.
The Missoula Children’s Theatre is the nation’s largest touring theater for children and has now been touring extensively for 35 years from Montana to Japan. The company arrived in Minturn on Aug. 2 and held open auditions for local and visiting students.
This is the fourth year that the Minturn Community Fund has brought the touring theater program to Minturn.
The Missoula Children’s Theatre is proudly presented by the Minturn Community Fund with special thanks to local sponsors: the town of Minturn, Vail Valley Foundation, the Minturn Inn, Gallegos Corp. and Battle Mountain. Thank you to John and Jeffrey, tour directors; Linda Trotter, accompanist; and to the families of all the actors!
