Vail Daily letter: All about devotion

Vail Daily
Vail, CO Colorado

I am going to explain a bit about 4-H. Four-H is all about devotion and hard work in a fun way. We raise all kinds of animals and sell them at fair and then the money goes to our college education. Yes, animals do sell for quite a bit of money and if you don’t have a place to keep your animals, check out one of the local 4-H community barns.

Four-H offers many opportunities. One of the many is the shooting sports project, which is not a dangerous activity at all and is safer than a swimming pool! Maximum total injuries are 0.14 or less. That explains some about 4-H. Please join! There is always room!

I would like to invite you to the 2009 Eagle County Junior Livestock Auction on Saturday, Aug.1, beginning with a barbecue at noon for all potential buyers and their families, and the auction getting under way at 1 p.m. in the Eagle River Center.

Come out for a chance to buy a quality market animal home grown by our local 4-H kids!
